The American Soldier Honors Veterans in New York City, November 30th & December 2nd!
On November 30th and December 2nd, Douglas Taurel honors veterans and their families by performing his powerful and critically acclaimedsolo show, The American Soldier at the IRT Theater Solo show Festival. He will perform on Thursday Nov. 30th and Saturday Dec 2nd at 7:00PM.
THE AMERICAN SOLDIER has been nominated for the Amnesty International Award for theatre excellence, received 4 stars internationally, been featured in The Huffington Post, The Washington Post and Time Out to name a few and was performed at The Kennedy Center during inauguration weekend at the Library of Congress on Veterans day of 2017. The American Soldier is a solo show based on real stories and accounts from soldiers’ letters written from the American Revolution through current day Afghanistan. It reveals the struggles our veterans face at war and their internal struggles to come back home.
